I was fortunate enough to attend a sold out screening of this film last night with the director hosting a Q&A afterwards. The movie is amazing, really funny and so quotable.I don't want to spoil it, but look out for the scene when one of the actors tries to translate (badly) an already bad joke from Italian.

A riot from start to finish!

  • Funny, charming doc - must-see for filmmakers, enjoyable for everyone else 6/12/2019 12:00:00 AM by davome 10

The editor/director, Johanna Taylor, has woven a tale of high tension with a lot of humour for her subjects. The director of the film within the film, Marco Brunelli, leads the charge into the unknown with the exact level of megalomania needed to take on a task this difficult.

    Watch this movie.

  • Will make you think twice about a career in filmmaking 6/12/2019 12:00:00 AM by alanroxx 8

This documentary really does a good job at capturing what is like to shoot a low budget film.Six strangers meet in Hong Kong to shoot a film 'guerrilla style'.I don't want to spoil it, but as you can imagine things don't go quite as planned.Cringe worthy at times, but always very entertaining.

  • Intimate portrait of a dreamer 6/13/2019 12:00:00 AM by mariapineoli 10

I went to a premiere of this film last night and I absolutely loved it.The film captures the tension and clashes between someone trying to realize their lifelong dream of making a movie and some of the crew who are just in it because of fame.Very funny, but also sad at times, the film should be seen by anyone with an interest in filmmaking!Watch the companion film 'the night of the great chinese lottery' if you can.It works well on its own, but together they make for an exciting and educational viewing.

  • You will love this if you value authenticity! 6/12/2019 12:00:00 AM by manossef-64-970356 10

This is as authentic as it gets. No polished, filtered junk fed to the audience. Watching this, feels a bit like watching a school trip from your high school but with a "grown up" material and a focus on making a no budget movie.

Everything is quite raw and such that anyone can relate to. Some moments are really funny and in many moments we see the frustration that goes into making a movie, and especially a movie without budget. We see issues like logistics, planning and most importantly the interpersonal relations between the crew - things you normally wouldn't witness.

This is an amazing piece of work, very entertaining and informative. Highly recommended to anyone!
